JAKARTA. MUC Consulting turned 25 years old on July 28, 2024. For a quarter of a century, this tax consulting company, based in Jakarta and Surabaya, has played a significant role in strengthening Indonesian taxation.
To commemorate the company's achievements, the entire management and staff hold a commemorative event at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Sepang, Malaysia, on the anniversary.
With the tagline, "Silver Miles: An Enriching Past, a Promising Future", MUC Consulting's 25th-anniversary celebration was held together with Employee Gathering activities in Malaysia for three days from 26-28 July 2024.
In his speech, MUC Consulting Managing Partner Sugianto expressed his gratitude for the journey of the company that he founded with several other founders, such as Muhammad Razikun and Afdhal Zikri.
A Company Based on Ethical Value
Sugianto recalled that building a consulting company during the 1999 economic crisis was challenging. “MUC Consulting was founded by prioritizing ethical values,” he emphasized.
The founders, driven by a desire to contribute to Indonesia’s recovery from the crisis, established the company with this vision. Over the years, MUC Consulting has overcome numerous hurdles through adaptability and innovation.
Sugianto expressed gratitude to all levels of management and employees for their contributions and shared spirit. "Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey," he said.
Therefore, on the 25th anniversary, Sugianto, who started his career at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), revealed that the challenges MUC Consulting will face will be more difficult.
He expects all management and employees to increase their capacity. With the strength of qualified human resources, the company can continue to grow and achieve its targets and goals.
From Zero to Hero
Meanwhile, another founder of MUC Consulting, Muhammad Razikun, highlighted that MUC Consulting started from zero but became a hero.
He reminded everyone that we can learn a lot about struggle and consistency from MUC Consulting's journey. Nothing is impossible in a business process as long as the effort is made.
According to him, it is important for everyone to have a dream and fight for it. Just like the founders' initial dream of making MUC Consulting a global-scale consulting company.
