JAKARTA. As of the deadline, 670 taxpayers have yet to match their Population Identity Number (NIK) with their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP). The NIK-NPWP matching deadline ends on 30 June 2024.
According to cnbcindonesia.com, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) revealed that taxpayers can still complete the matching until the end of 2024. However, until they do so, taxpayers cannot access several taxation services.
Seven taxation services can be accessed using the new NPWP format. In addition to using the NIK format, the service can also be used for 16-digit NPWP and the Identity Number of Place of Business Activities (NITKU)
The seven services include:
1. e-Registration
It is a taxpayer registration service.
2. DGT Profile Account
A service that contains the taxpayer's profile on DGT Online.
3. KSWP Info
KSWP Info is a service that contains information on confirmation of taxpayer status.
4. e-Bupot 21/26
A service for issuing proof of deduction and reporting Periodic Income Tax (PPh) Article 21/26.
5. e-Bupot Unification
A service for issuing tax withholding slip and reporting the Unification Periodic Income Tax Return.
6. e-Bupot Government Agency
A service for issuing tax withholding slip and reporting Periodic Income Tax Return Article 21/26 for government agencies and Unification Periodic Income Tax Return for government agencies.
7. e-Objection
A service provided by DGT for filing objections.
Therefore, the Director of Extension, Services, and Public Relations of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) Dwi Astuti urges taxpayers to immediately match the NPWP with the new format.
For information, the use of NIK as NPWP applies to resident Individual Taxpayers. Then the 16-digit NPWP applies to non-resident individual taxpayers, corporate taxpayers, and government agency taxpayers. Then, the use of NITKU is intended for Branch Taxpayers.

Previously, the deadline for matching the NPWP with the new format was stated in the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 136 of 2023. This regulation amends PMK Number 112/PMK.03/2022 concerning Taxpayer Identification Number for Individual Taxpayers, Corporate Taxpayers and Government Agency Taxpayers. (ASP/KEN)
