New TIN Format

For your information, since the issuance of the Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP) Law and Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 112 / PMK.03 / 2022 published on July 8, 2022, the government has officially changed the TIN format from the previous 15 digits to 16 digits.

There are three types of TIN formats used, namely the Population Identity Number (NIK) as the TIN, 16-digit TIN, and the Identity Number of Place of Business Activities (NITKU).

The use of the three TIN formats began gradually since July 1, 2024, for various tax services or applications. The target is that by the end of 2024, all tax services will use the three TIN formats to replace the old TIN consisting of 15 digits. (ASP/KEN)
