JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) stated that the number of corporate taxpayers who have filed their Annual Income Tax Return until 30 April 2024 is 1,044,911 taxpayers. The number increased by 10.66% when compared to the number of Corporate Taxpayers who filed their Annual Income Tax Returns in the same period.
As we know, April 30 is the deadline for the filing of Annual Income Tax Returns for Corporate Taxpayers whose accounting year is from January 1 to December 31.
In detail, of the number of Annual Corporate Income Tax Returns, most are done through the e-form submission media, totaling 934,860 tax returns, while those filed through e-filing are 28,059, through e-SPT are 10 tax returns and those filed manually are 81,982 tax returns.
The overall number of annual tax returns filed by both corporate and individual taxpayers until April 30 was 14,186,630, up 7.15% from the same period in 2023.
With this achievement, the total compliance ratio for the submission of Annual Tax Returns for Corporate Taxpayers and Individual Taxpayers has so far reached 73.61% of the total number of taxpayers who are required to file Annual Tax Returns.
Meanwhile, the number of taxpayers who are required to file Annual Tax Returns is 19.2 million. The DGT targets this year's formal compliance ratio to reach 83.2%. In other words, the number of tax returns targeted to be received by DGT this year is 16.09 million tax returns.
Therefore, there are still around 2.08 million more tax returns to achieve the target of filing this Annual Tax Return. For this reason, DGT urges taxpayers to file their Annual Tax Returns immediately. (ASP/KEN)
