JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has extended the deadline for paying Income Tax withheld or collected in March 2024, paying self-paid income tax in March 2024, and reporting the March 2024 Periodic Income Tax Return (SPT).
Supposedly, the deadline for fulfilling tax obligations falls on 10 April 2024 or 15 April 2024. However, because it coincides with the Eid al-Fitr 1445H holiday and collective leave, it is extended to 16 April 2024.
This was conveyed by the DGT in its announcement on social media. "The date of tax payment and reporting is adjusted because it coincides with the Eid al-Fitr 1445H holiday and collective leave," as quoted in the DGT notification.
Due to this, DGT also announced that all tax offices will not provide all services, until 16 April 2024. However, services through chatbot pajak.go.id will remain open, during the Eid al-Fitr 1445 H holiday and collective leave.

Meanwhile, for the payment and submission of Value Added Tax (VAT) for the March 2024 tax period, the due date remains on 30 April 2024, or the end of the following month after the tax period.
Likewise, the deadline for submitting the Annual Corporate Income Tax Return for the 2023 tax year remains on 30 April 2024. For information, as of 31 March 2024, the number of corporate income tax returns received by the DGT has reached 351,427 tax returns, or an increase of 5.15% from the number of tax returns in the same period in 2023.
