Tax revenue in the range between 2002 and 2020 continues to increase. Nevertheless, there have been times when Indonesia's tax revenues have decreased. Especially when there was economic turmoil in 2009 and most recently in 2020 where revenues contracted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
