Coretax Simulator Launched: Experience the New Advanced Tax System!

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has launched a new tax administration system simulator, Coretax, as a tool to introduce the features and services of the application.

The DGT made this announcement in the Director General of Taxes Announcement No. PENG-27/PJ.09/2024 regarding the launch of the Coretax Simulator, published on Tuesday (24/9).

For your information, Coretax is DGT's service administration system that will replace the current Coretax Administration System (SIAP) to make it more modern, sophisticated, and fully integrated with all services.

The simulator can be downloaded by visiting www.pajak.go.id. However, taxpayers are required to register or sign up first to download it.

How to Register for the Coretax Simulator

To register, there are several steps to follow, from logging in to filling out the required information such as an email address.

1. Login

First, taxpayers can log in to the website https://djponline.pajak.go.id/. Then, enter information such as the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)/ Population Identity Number (NIK)/Identity Number of Place of  Business Activities (NITKU), the DJP Online password, input the security code (captcha), and finally click the login button.

2. Click the Registration Button

After logging in, the taxpayer is asked to click the banner that says "Register Coretax Simulator." A window will appear with fields to fill in information such as an email address and a security code, then press the "Save" button.

3. Wait for Notification

The next step is to wait for the notification. Press the "OK" button if the notification indicates that registration was successful. If the registration is successful, the registration field will be locked.

Waiting for the Coretax Simulator Username

After the registration process, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) system will automatically send a username and password via the email provided during registration.

The username and password will be sent within a maximum of three days after registration. Therefore, taxpayers are advised to check their email regularly.

Once the username and password are received from the email address coretax-simulator@pajak.go.id, the taxpayer can log in to the Coretax Simulator.

Accessing the Coretax Simulator

To access the Coretax Simulator, taxpayers can visit https://portalwp-simulasi.pajak.go.id/. To learn how to use the Coretax Simulator, taxpayers can view the guide or tutorial videos and manuals provided by DGT on the website.

There are 13 Coretax Simulator manuals available, divided into three series: the Taxpayer Registration Series, the Taxpayer Services Series, and the Annual Tax Return (SPT) Reporting Series.

The registration series consists of 11 guides, while both the Taxpayer Services Series and the SPT Reporting Series each consist of one manual.

In general, there are four benefits of using Coretax for both taxpayers and the government: first, improving efficiency and effectiveness; second, increasing taxpayer compliance; third, enhancing the quality of services; and fourth, improving data analysis capabilities. (ASP/KEN)
