Large Tax Office (LTO) Contributes 31.29% to Tax Revenue

JAKARTA. The Large Tax Office (LTO) contributed 31.29% of the total tax revenue in 2023.
For information, the LTO consists of four sections. First, LTO 1 includes taxpayers in the mining sector and mining support services.
Second, LTO 2 includes taxpayers in the industrial, trade, and service sectors. Third, LTO 3 includes taxpayers from state companies or State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the industrial and trade sectors.
Fourth, LTO 4 includes taxpayers of state companies or SOEs in the service sector and individual taxpayers.
The total nominal tax revenue collected by the LTO Regional Office until 31 December 2023 was recorded at IDR 584.23 trillion or 101.75% of the target imposed by the government of IDR 108.98 trillion. Meanwhile, when compared to the realization in 2022 or year on year, the realization grew 11.09%.
If broken down by type, the revenue consists of Income Tax of IDR 384.91 trillion, which comes from Corporate Income Tax of IDR 43.06 trillion and Income Tax Article (ITA) 21 of IDR 5.76 trillion.
Meanwhile, Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue was recorded at IDR 195.72 trillion, down 2.51% compared to the same period in 2022. This was due to the global economic slowdown that affected import performance.
By sector, the tax revenue collected by the LTO was dominated by the finance and insurance sector, mining and quarrying, and the information and communication sectors. (ASP/KEN)
