JAKARTA. The realization of Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue on trade through electronic systems (PMSE) during January-April 2024 was recorded at IDR 2.6 trillion. The amount grew 27.45% compared to the same period in 2023 or year on year.

One of the reasons for the increase in PMSE VAT revenue is the rise in the number of PMSE companies appointed by the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT).
In the January-April 2023 period, the number of companies that had been appointed and paid PMSE VAT to the DGT was 129 companies. Meanwhile, this year, the number of PMSE companies that have collected VAT and remitted it to the DGT is 154 companies.
