JAKARTA. The rise of music concert events lately has helped boost local tax revenue from January 2023 to February 2023.
According to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) records, the realization of local tax revenue until the end of February 2023 amounted to IDR 28.85 trillion.
Quoting Kontan.co.id, when compared to the realization in the same period in 2022 which amounted to IDR 23.57 trillion, this figure increased by 9.7% year on year (yoy).
The realization of local tax revenue was dominated by entertainment tax, which is a consumptive tax amounting to IDR 306.07 billion or an increase of 61.5% yoy. However, tax revenue in each region is not the same.
Meanwhile, based on data from the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of DKI Jakarta Province, in January 2023 the amount of entertainment tax revenue was recorded at Rp 172.25 billion.
In addition to collecting entertainment tax, the DKI Jakarta government also contains other types of taxes such as motor vehicle tax and fees of vehicle title transfer.
Also, there are also other types of taxes, Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax, Hotel Tax, Restaurant Tax, Street Lighting Tax, Billboard Tax, Parking Tax, Underground Water Tax, Fees on Acquisition of Land and Building Rights, Land and Building Tax, and Cigarette Tax. (ASP/KEN)
