Government Officially Submitted The 2025 Draft State Budget to DPR, Setting a Taxation Target Growth of 7.89%.
JAKARTA. The government officially submitted the 2025 Draft State Budget (RAPBN) to the House of Representatives (DPR), coinciding with President Joko Widodo's State Address on Friday (16/8).
In the submitted 2025 Draft State Budget document, the government targets tax revenue of IDR 2,490.9 trillion or an increase of 7.89% from the outlook for tax revenue in 2024.
The target consists of tax revenue of IDR 2,189.31 trillion and customs revenue of IDR 301.60 trillion.
Details of Tax Revenue in 2025
In detail, the tax revenue target consists of income tax revenue of IDR 1,209.3 trillion, growing by 13.8% from the 2024 projection.
Then, the revenue of Value Added Tax and Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (VAT and STLG) is targeted at IDR 945.1 trillion.
Furthermore, Land and Building Tax (PBB) revenue is targeted at IDR 27.1 trillion, or a decrease of 18.3% compared to the 2024 outlook. Lastly, other tax revenue is set at IDR 7.8 trillion, up 7.8% from the 2024 outlook.
Revenue Strategy in 2025
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in her presentation revealed that to achieve this target, the government has prepared several steps. First, continue the implementation of the Law on Harmonisation of Tax Regulations.
Second, by increasing Indonesia's tax ratio or the ratio of tax revenue to Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Third, strengthening the Coretax System and CIESA export-import services.
Fourth, anticipate the implementation of a global tax regime targeting the digital economy. Fifth, reforming the management of Natural Resources (SDA) and State Property (BMN). Sixth, providing fiscal incentives to accelerate investment.
Furthermore, the 2025 Draft State Budget will be discussed with the DPR to be ratified into the 2025 State Budget. (ASP)
