Tax revenue may miss target due to Gayus case

Selasa, 27 Juli 2010

The Tax Office has said that the 2010 tax revenue may not meet the target due to a number of tax crimes including a tax evasion committed by its official Gayus Halomoan Tambunan.

"Our tax revenue this year may only reach 99.5 percent of the targeted Rp 604.6 trillion," Tax Office director general Mohammad Tjiptardjo said Monday as quoted by kompas.com.

He added the overall tax revenue collected by the Tax Office and the Customs and Excise Office may also miss the target.
