Russell Bedford International has announced that William (Bill) F. Rucci, Jr., CPA, MST, a partner with Boston area member firm Rucci Bardaro & Barrett, was elected to the international board of management at the accounting network's 2009 annual general meeting in Las Vegas.

Russell Bedford Monterrey, a member of the Russell Bedford Mexico national accounting network, has named Andrés Leal Marroquín as a new partner, becoming a four-partner firm.

PMB Helin Donovan LLP, the fast-growing Russell Bedford member firm in Texas and San Francisco, has opened an office in Dallas and has appointed two new partners. The firm now has 15 partners and a total of 92 employees.

To welcome its 10th anniversary, MUC Registered Tax Consultants (MUC) held the 2008 Employee Gathering on 22 November 2008. With the theme of "Rethink, Reshape, and Regain (Building a Positive Mental Attitude)", this event took place at Grand Jaya Raya Hotel, Cipayung Bogor. This event was divided into several sessions, among others, Business Practice, insight by MUC stakeholders, the Art of EGO Valuation, and Motivational sessions.

Following the first branch launching in Balikpapan, MUC launched its new branch office in Surabaya on 20 August 2008. The launching of this second branch was marked with a free seminar concerning Sunset Policy held in Shangri-la Hotel Surabaya presenting Mr. Sugianto, managing partner of MUC, as the speaker. The event was attended by more than 45 companies from various industries and was also attended by Mr Razikun, the managing director of MUC Consulting group, Mrs. Titut Sayekti from the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Abdullah from East Java Regional Tax Office.

Following the socialization of new regulation concerning Tax Audit, which was delivered by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in an event held by the National Bonded Zone Company Association (National APKB) in Bandung in the beginning of year 2008, APKB of East Java held a same event on 20 June 2008 in Grand Trawas Hotel, Mojokerto. The event, which was attended by approximately 45 bonded zone companies, was intended to give an understanding about the new Customs regulation from a different point of view. This event presented Bambang Sabur, a Custom Manager at MUC, as a speaker with a topic of Preparation in Facing Customs Audit.
